Shikshana Seva Foundation was born from a shared belief: every child deserves the opportunity to learn, dream, and succeed—no matter where they are born.

Founded by three passionate individuals from diverse professional paths, our journey began with a simple, powerful idea—to give back to the communities that shaped us by empowering rural children in India through education.

👨‍🏫 Ashok Patil

Ashok is a professor, software engineer, and Kannada filmmaker based in Los Angeles. Deeply connected to his roots and the power of storytelling, he brings a unique vision to our mission—blending education, technology, and culture to drive change.

⚖️ Manju Patil

A practicing immigration attorney with over 20 years of experience, Manju is based in Los Angeles and deeply engaged with diaspora communities. She is also a published writer, using her voice to spotlight immigrant narratives, social justice, and the importance of education. Her leadership ensures the foundation’s work is legally sound, empathetically grounded, and purpose-driven.

💻 Karunakar Reddy Gurram

Karunakar is a software engineer based in Dallas, Texas. With a passion for grassroots development and community impact, he brings both strategic insight and technical leadership to the foundation.​​
